LE SCONE

After playing covers for a few years in Montreal, my friend David Michaliszyn and I decided to record our own folk-rock inspired compositions. Finalists of Ontario POP 2012, and recipients of the Franco-Ontarian Festival award, we subsequently toured festivals, bars and theaters for several years. Over the course of our two albums, we have had the chance to play with Robert Charlebois, La Bottine Souriante, Patrick Groulx, Swing and Stef Paquette.

Gros détour (2016)

"A well produced album for the duo (...). Sometimes charming, sometimes touching, Gros détour can be listened to without length and gives us interesting texts (...).

The album ends with a brilliant text from the pen of one of the members of the formation, Jonathan B. Roy. With "The guest", he describes the pain that this one leaves behind. The song ends in a punch."

Le Scone à soir (2012)

The band's first 5-track EP.

Three nominations at the 2014 Trille Or awards gala, including the “Discovery” category.

"These two guys are made for the stage! Their energy is contagious, it breaks the 4th wall from the first contact with the public."
— Laurent Vandeputte, Artistic Director and Programming Director, Groupe Simoncic (Festival franco-ontarien, Festival de la Curd, Franco-Fête de Toronto)
