Can Japan Avoid Catastrophe?
My friend Louis has lived in Japan for 14 years. He loves his host country so much that he has become more Japanese than a Japanese.
I contacted him this week to discuss the situation there. So far, the country which has just regretted canceling the next Olympic Games is doing surprisingly well. Yet the government has imposed almost nothing as a measure to date.
The only barrier against the virus: an extreme culture of hygiene. But will it be enough?
