30 000 km
Thirty thousand kilometers.
This is what I just passed a few moments ago on a dirt road towards Buenos Aires.
Over these kilometers, the white hairs grow more numerous in my beard, and the difficult days accumulate in my legs and my morale.
But in contrast, the fantastic landscapes of this planet are also imprinted on my camera and my memory. Above all, I keep meeting people who welcome me like a son, lodge me like a friend, and throw me smiling thumbs in the air like a hero.
30 km is also 000 countries on 34 continents, the book " Histoires à dormir dehors », Several videos, an impromptu job in Malaysia, dozens of conferences, and all of you who keep encouraging me to persevere. More than a trip, it is a new direction in my life that I continue to discover.
By a strange coincidence, this important milestone comes on my mother's birthday. She would have been 63 today. With me on the road, however, she always guides me with her 55-year-old smile.
I have no idea where my 35 km photo will be. But it will be, I hope, with the same smile that I will present her to you.
Since the start of my journey, I have taken a commemorative photo every 5000 km. After 6 of these photos, I remember how far I have come… and I see the changes in my face!
