Yellow grass

« Yellow grass ». This title has remained in my mind for months, since the idea of creating this little blog of trips, thoughts and photos. I tried to come up with a name that was catchy and represented myself as best as possible to put before my dot com. And it was by looking at some of my photos of Peru that these two words were inspired to me.

We sometimes hear the expression the grass is greener at the neighbor. We of course all know what the expression means. That we always compare ourselves and that we want what we imagine to be better in the other. No question of travel here ... you might think.

However, isn't this what we often do on vacation, to look for greener grass elsewhere? We transpose what we have at home a few hours by car or plane from home. We want the same bed size but more comfortable, we want to be prepared to eat while remaining within the limits of the known, we want to listen to the same American pop music!

The yellow grass for me, on the contrary, it is the fact of going ahead of what at first glance does not appear so attractive, so simple, so easy.

Everyone has their own level of yellow grass. Maybe it is trying a new restaurant in your own city, or it could be going around the world by bike. And everything that comes in between! Basically, to have yellow grass syndrome is to refuse the easy - sometimes or often - and to accept that life has so much to teach us and to offer us. All this pleases me!

But why explain all this for a title which, as you can see, did not finally see the light of day? This is what you will discover in the next text!
